Our Mission

The Mission of the Center for the Developing Child and Family is to support the growth and development of children and families and the professionals who serve them.

To fulfill this mission, we have developed evidence-based and evidence-informed curricula to meet the needs of our most vulnerable families.  Our two-generation approach includes interventions to promote family and parent resilience, the parent-child relationship and children’s school readiness and school success. These curricula are implemented in public and private school settings, Early Head Start and Head Start programs, foster care agencies, social service agencies, as well as the Ackerman Institute.

We also provide professional development for clinicians, agency staff, teachers and administrators. Professional development services include training, coaching, reflective group supervision, and program/agency consultation.
